How to Use This Deck
“This is more than an oracle deck: it wants to be lived.”
-@IntegrativeHealingwithSadhana
This deck invites you on a healing and embodied journey through the Power of the Yin: the elemental, natural, transformative potency that we carry inside of us.
With each card you pull, you are offered a transmission of an archetypal yin power: qualities, states of being, and realms that your soul remembers and longs to integrate into your life.
The text of the cards is intended to be spacious with room for your own interpretation. The illustrations transmit energy to inspire you. You can take the cards literally, or you can connect with their metaphorical and spiritual meaning. You may wonder about the meaning of an image. There may be words and concepts that are new to you. You can learn more about these words, or let them be mysterious and work on you below the level of your thinking mind.
It is my intention that as you get to know the deck, these cards—and the Yin herself—will come to have very personal and felt-sense meaning for you.
It is my prayer that the journey of the Power of the Yin will lead to your healing, wholeness and empowerment.
Some ways to use the cards you draw
Place a card on your altar to inspire you.
Journal with the card you have chosen.
Pull a card before bed to inspire your dreams.
Change the orientation of the illustration. As you see the image from a different perspective, the message may change or feel more relevant for you.

Get grounded, centered, and relaxed.
Before you work with the cards, take a little time to reflect on what you would love to experience or receive. An answer to a deep question? A hint on your next steps towards something? Support for healing? A guide for your energy for the day? A balm for your heart?
Then take a few moments to get grounded, centered and relaxed.
As you soften and your mind quiets, allow yourself to open and become available to receiving.
When you feel yourself settled and open, pull a card, or a series of cards.
The cards have information on both sides, so there are a few ways you can choose your cards. Close your eyes or place the deck in a bag and pull, sight-unseen. Or spread the cards, image sides up, and trust the cards you are attracted to, without second-guessing.
Invite the cards to inform your sacred practice or move into meditation with the message of the card. Yin Oracle Audio Meditation Package is a wonderful companion to the deck, offering weekly audio meditations for each card.
Use the deck in gatherings to open a circle, ritualize an event, mark a seasonal or cyclical occasion.
Connect with each card as a sovereign being. Who is this card? What is this card’s message? What do you feel in your body when you interact with this card? Why is this card coming to you at this moment?
Treat each card as two separate cards: the illustration has one message for you, the text another. Sometimes it can feel that the two sides don’t relate at all. Then again, they may relate in a way that is unexpected & subtle.
Choose three cards and place them in a row. Each position represents a different perspective, i.e. past/present/future, situation/problem/solution, etc.
Pair with a favorite deck: Pull combinations of cards from multiple decks and explore how they resonate, magnify or clarify a message for you.
